Verizon’s free 4G LTE mobile hotspot offer extended through July 6th

Verizon Wireless has announced that it has extended the free mobile hotspot promotion for the HTC ThunderBolt, Samsung DROID Charge, and LG Revolution through July 6. This is the second time that Verizon has extended the promo, which was expected to end today. All three 4G LTE phones will get a software update on July 6 that will remove the free version of the mobile hotspot. No word on what the mobile hotspot feature will cost after that, but Verizon did say that the $20 per gigabyte plan would not be available on 4G LTE smartphones.
